Inspired by the 2001 American science fiction
film, Vanilla Sky
What
if you knew the exact moment you were going to die...?
That
exact second before making the decision.
A
decision that could be the end of you...
Pausing,
for a moment as it hits you.
A
vivid memory flashing before your eyes...
Like
the sound of your car crashing
Foiled
and wrecked
Ending
everything that was you...
Forever
more
Simply
gone from existence.
What
if you saw it all coming...?
Down
to the last second.
Remembering
the last words uttered
The
memory of soft lips against yours
The
smell from a warm embrace
The
last face you looked upon
The
last smile you received,
Joy
filled periods in time we wished we could live in
Only
to be stunned by the possibility of what would…
No,
what could be...
What
would you do?
The end comes too quickly
For the moments we hold so dare
Unable to be relived
Disappearing forever like a breath of air.
Are we being all we could be?
When time, eventually, divides us entirely
Should we subject ourselves to a Lucid Dream?
Alter our realities like the script from a
movie scene
Reliving it all again
For as long as we wanted
Exactly, as we pleased
No longer servants to our memories
Filtering all adverse effects preconceived.
Yet nothing seems complete
As past afflictions unconsciously seep in
Reality and illusion compete
Paranoia begins
Holding on too tightly causing it all to
crumble
Biding our time to see it all make sense
Standing in the rubble
Of the mistakes we make to our own existence
If I died in this dream, I would stop dreaming
A certain dark romance cited at the beginning
What would you do if you knew the exact moment
you were going to die...?
A vivid memory flashing before your eyes...
