Where
do we go from here?
Lost
from our once paradise
We
had it all and still much more
To
have, to hold, to love - our only chore
Yet
we’ve erased one another
Choices
made now displace one another
Sacrificed
our Eden to negate one another.
Oh
how beautiful would it be to become wise?
Gain
the world and see the universe from his eyes…
How
dire was this simple mistake
A
bite of disobedience was not the sweet fruits taste
Eyes
open as a morning flower now forever awake
All
thanks to the revered deity, epitomized, a snake.
Arms
wrapped around her body, I could not look away yet could not accept
That
the one promised to me was so inept
And
to return to my arms soiled an unkempt
Her
salty streams glistened as she wept
Could
he not see this was coming? A story foretold by our creation
Or
were we the conception of a failed experimentation
Left
to roam the four corners of this barren wasteland
Now
with our backs to that which was once our home, hand in hand
Tossed
into to the abyss
Scavengers
of an unknown land – 2 legged parasites
Slithering
in the dark our regret now obvious
No
longer blind, no longer hidden, no longer precious
So
where do we go from here?
Tossed
from our once paradise.
